The Elmhurst Park District held a dog park planning open house on Thursday, July 12 at The Abbey to solicit feedback from residents on a future dog park. Following the meeting, an online survey was posted and more than 130 people provided additional feedback. Now you have a chance to vote on a design concept for the park! Join us Thursday, July 26 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Based on feedback from residents during the Vision 2020 process, one of the amenities most desired is a dog park. And now is your chance to tell us what you'd like to see! You're invited to a planning open house on Thursday, July 12 from 5-8 p.m. at The Abbey, 407 W. St. Charles Road. It will be an open house format so drop in any time and let us know what you'd like to see in a dog park!

In March 2016, the Elmhurst Park District hired Convention Sports and Leisure International (CSL) to conduct an indoor sports facility feasibility study jointly with the City of Elmhurst.  The key goal of this study was to assess the viability of developing and operating a new indoor sports facility, which could potentially include aquatics, gymnasium space, turf and ice.

In March 2016, the Elmhurst Park District hired Convention Sports and Leisure International (CSL) to conduct an indoor sports facility feasibility study jointly with the City of Elmhurst.  At the Monday, October 16, 2016 Park Board Meeting, study results were presented to the Park Board and the City of Elmhurst’s Development, Planning and Zoning Committee (DPZ).

The Park Board and City of Elmhurst have hired Conventions, Sports & Leisure International (CSL) to conduct a market and financial feasibility study for an Indoor Sports Facility in Elmhurst. CSL, based in Minnesota, was selected from eight firms, of which five were interviewed by a joint panel of Park and City staff members.
